'Stop Reacting to our Beating'

More footage of cops beating a scared, barely moving person while telling him to "stop resisting."

Cops Hate Journalists (still)

These mainstream journalists get a little roughed up, but then have access to good lawyers and  footage of their abuse. They seem so indignant, but rarely does local television really dig into police brutality until it's all on camera or affects them.

Lying Cop Smashes Woman's Teeth.

Cops  lie and protect their own . Abusive cops don't like being filmed. That's why it's good to film them. This speaks for itself.

Police Kill Victim with Down Syndrome.

This case has already been ruled a homicide  Apparently, three police officers weren't able to remove a man with Down's Syndrome from the movie theater without killing him. Professional tip: don't put a retarded man's head down on the ground for an extended period of time while detaining him.

Cop vs. Journalist

Yet another mainstream journalist in this, the YouTube age, finds out what many already know about  police officers intoxicated with power. Police officers view themselves as in charge of everybody except other police officers. The law is often secondary.

Dereliction of Duty

Police officers are given an awful lot of respect in our society, and it's clear they feel entitled to it. Watch this video and contemplate that.

Cop Punches Man, Then Decides not to Arrest Him.

The officers' conversation  with the stupid kid in this video is meant to cover their tracks and muddy any further investigation. At one point, after striking the kid, the officer says that he got in his face because he didn't want to "yell." After this kid gets smacked and held down by an officer using his knee, both cops act incredulous regarding their victim's pain. The implication, of course, is that they couldn't possibly have injured him. If the policemen thought for one second that their use of force was justified, why wouldn't they arrest the "criminal" on the spot?

To No Credit of My Own (see this great documentary)

I don't know to whom I should attribute this well made, quite slanted documentary. The accounts of police violence aren't new, not really. There's plenty of footage and hearsay where police violence is concerned. What's most interesting to me is what is shown midway through this film. It's a pretty good demonstration of cops protecting cops from civilian complaints. When law enforcement shields itself from accountability, police officers easily transition into petty little tin-horn dictators. The problem is institutional.

P.S. Is this an Alex Jones video? Alex Jones is either the slickest huckster or someone on the verge of getting a diagnosis, but good footage is good footage.

P.S.

The Only Way To Stop A Bad Priest

Even with high ranking officials attempting to pursue justice, the Catholic Church remains an insular, ass covering institution. A few good men of the cloth won't change an institutional problem.
