Savage Rescue
When adrenaline is rushing, suspect and civilian seems pretty similar to many cops. Admittedly, this officer might have been restraining a man from trying to jump again, but the lawyer is correct in pointing out that police aren't typically trained to restrain the inebriated/ emotionally impaired by punching them in the face.
Kampus Kops
The president of the university wants an investigation. The governor wants an investigation. The student isn't a "thug," not remotely. Where there's smoke there's likely fire.
