TSA Thieves

There is the assumption that law enforcement is honest and to be taken at its word. That said, law enforcement is a very wordly, human business. Sorry, Uncle Charlie, but cops do lie fairly regularly.

See No Evil

The police chief may have refused to view the footage because he wants to be able to state in court that he hadn't seen any footage before he cleared the officers in question.

Guilty Behavior

The Seattle area never fails to provide fresh footage of atrocities and abuses. Beyond the obvious aggression, what caught my attention was the detail about the jail turning the victims away, the pigs then cleaning their faces of blood, and driving around for hours until the swelling goes down. Defense and civil rights lawyers should watch out for that as a guilty behavior.

Sometimes I Think Women Should Run The Catholic Church

I guess my opinion doesn't matter as I'm not Catholic. Even so, I'll observe that the Church tries to weigh in on political matters involving same-sex marriage, abortion, and censorship issues while on the other hand, there seems to be less of a mandate when it comes to economic justice which is also part of the Church's platform, but just isn't as much fun for angry old men to wax eloquent on.
Oh well, I've said time and time again, I have problems with medieval hierarchies, falsely pious predators, and those who would claim moral authority they don't have. But to clarify, I don't have a problem with Catholicism per se or Catholics. I just think it's time for the x-y members of the church to step down and let some reasonable women assume the throne.

Cops Hits A Suspect Over The Head So Hard That His Gun Goes Off

The police officer wrote the report to better justify his aggressive behavior. Police officers do that all the time, and unless there's a camera on them, no one is the wiser. Even those skeptical of the police department take their word over that of a suspect's for the most part. Think about that next time someone accuses a police officer of brutality and you don't believe them. There is no shortage of footage proving that police officers routinely lie about violent interactions with suspects.
