Charm Offensive

The NYPD charm offensive continues. One shouldn't criticize them though, apparently, as it puts officers in danger. Their actual behavior is beyond reproach. Thanks to toxic cops for the upload.

Cop vs WheelChair Man Ad Infinitum

There are an awful lot of these videos. Not all the victims are blameless, but the videos still speak for themselves...

"Forceful Arrest"

With all the police fatalities receiving so much attention right now, it's important to remember the more mundane, possibly everyday police beatings that occur at the hands of disgruntled officers. Had this beating not been recorded, nothing would have happened.

Cop Attacks Man in Wheel Chair

The music isn't necessary. The image speaks for itself. I thank Toxiccops on YouTube for the video:

Desensitization

There is a pernicious combination of craziness and cruelty tainting police departments throughout the United States.

Verbal Abuse Continues

Another police officer really needs to retire. Burn out and PTSD are no joke and police departments throughout the U.S. are made up of sufferers of these ailments.

Slapping the Constitution

Another police officer angry that his victims aren't in awe of his badge.... Notice how the unbalanced police officer's ire increases throughout the video... Thanks to toxiccops.com

Verbal Abuse

Another "public servant" verbally abusing the people she is responsible for. Clearly, she is another burned-out, cynical cop.

OverKill

There are nations where this isn't so common an outcome to a situation involving a mentally ill man, a weapon and police officers:

Young Black Male Guilty of Making Eye Contact

This wouldn't happen in a wealthy or middle class neighborhood. I suspect young black men get a disproportionate share of such attention.

Pig Kills Dog Redux

Yet another YouTube exposure of trigger happy cops shooting dogs. The mindset is one that looks for any justification to use a weapon.

When Confiscation Becomes Theft.

Confiscation and theft look the same from here. The worst of the NYPD continue to hound unlucky citizens who catch them on their many bad days. NYC RESISTANCE has views I don't always agree with, but his footage offer the best testimony of what life is like for some of those being protected and served the NYPD.

NYPD STRONGARM

Is confiscation another word for theft? The two don't seem very different in this video.

Dog Blames Man

A police officer either deliberately or unintentionally loses control of a police dog and blames the resulting bite on the victim because the victim was "moving." It doesn't appear that the victim was moving, but developing such a narrative is convenient for an unprofessional police officer.

Kicking'em While He's Down..

When the Police chief places officers on leave and one police officer resigns, that's a pretty good indication that the footage is damning...

Shot for Driving While Black

Many people chafe at the possibility that racism exists in America now. They even deny its a factor in police oppression. They insist that we're in this thing together. What was this motorist's real crime?

Burn Out Turns to Punch Out

Another example of police exasperation makes the YouTube rounds...

The Wrong Man

A police officer in this video kicks someone in the head. A few minutes later the same individual is released. The cynic in me suspects that his release was an attempt to prevent assault charges from being pressed against the police officer in question. No case number, no complaints, no problem. Thanks to Policecrime.com for the post.

Numb skulls crack heads

Unintelligent police officers using a hammer to swat a fly. I thank policecrime.com for the footage.

The Modern NYPD

This clip from Democracy Now is useful in two ways: it illustrates how police brutality in New York spans the decades and is truly an institutional problem. It also clarifies that different parts of the United States have different rules regarding filming police officers.

No Injuries Reported

The brutality speaks of incompetence and brute force, but the crimes continue in mendacious police reports. The officer had the nerve to say there were no injuries after this altercation.

Shoot First, Question Later

"They never announced their prescence."

Choked to Death

Poor training, brutality... it really doesn't make a difference in the long run. Whatever the circumstances, this seems to happen a lot in New York City. There are police departments and parts of the world where such deaths don't happen as frequently. Thanks to Never Get Busted Again for the footage.

Cops and Dogs....

Cop kills dog is not an uncommon headline these days, but in this case even other police officers were shocked by their fellow's violence....

Police Invasion

Police incompetence and brutality often equate to the same thing. There are those in America who regard the police as an army that occupies their neighborhood.

Officers Kill Mentally Ill Man

Once again, police officers show their inability to humanely deal with someone experiencing the complication of mental illness. This is not a fluke.

Another Victim to Mental Illness

Yet another failed interaction between the militarized police and a mentally ill man. Some are saying the police are blameless in the case. Clearly, there is a systematic breakdown here.
Thanks to Police State USA for the footage.

Cop Doesn't Like Bad Language

Green Bay's finest showing their inability to keep their cool after hearing profanity directed towards them. More and more, public good will towards the police is eroding. Seconds after this was uploaded to You Tube, campaigns were getting initiated, Anonymous was on it, and so on. In other words, people are used to reacting to psycho cops.

Shoot Them... With Your Camera

Police officers performing their routine harassment of people with cameras. Further irritation ensues when the officer in question realizes the person recording her isn't afraid or worshipful of the badge.

If They Had Found Marijuana, Then A Military Style Invasion Would Have Been Okay.

What's unstated but obvious is that the police lied about positive field tests finding marijuana. After forging their results, police sent a SWAT team into the home off of law abiding citizens.

Police State USA on YouTube should be credited for this upload:

Dirty Dallas

A police officer makes a dubious arrest, and it results in an innocent man being sent to jail for a year. The police officer's "mistake" was this man's jail time.       (With thanks to police state USA on YouTube for the upload)

Handcuffed Suspect Gets Beaten

Officers who are either sadists or have snapped torture a suspect. I am aware that the suspect may be a horrible human being- I don't know. It doesn't matter. The public isn't well served by police officers who behave this way.

Thanks to Kenny Suiter on Youtube for uploading this.

Cops Kill Another Homeless Man

The blogger NYC Resistance wrote "When the police can't find black men or boys to kill, then a homeless Caucasian will do." I think he hit the nail on the head.

Credit goes to policecrime.com for the upload.

Cops Still Hate Cameras Ad Infinitum

Once again, police officers threaten citizens for recording them. There is no reason for a good cop to fear transparency. Thanks to Police State USA for this upload.

Frame Up!

Corrupt cops try to coerce a probationer into setting someone up with a weapons charge. This is exactly what Hollywood's version of corrupt cops do.

An Inhumane Society

Police departments attract some public servant minded people, and they also attract a fair amount of control freaks and psychos. The public deserves far more input in how police officers are selected, and the screening process clearly sucks.

Framing The Camera Man

They don't like being filmed. I think that's all that needs to be said.

The Camera Never Lies, But As For The NYPD...

Yet another camera proving corrupt cops to be liars. Do you think his partner would've reported his lie to his superiors? Thanks to NYCRESISTANCE on You Tube for uploading this.

State Sanctioned Torture

The Tazer is a way for police officers to torture people who don't comply with their orders. The study mentioned in this report may be showing these devices for what they are.

Use of Force

Cops appear to needlessly escalate force in this video-with thanks to policecrime.com

The Felony That Wasn't.

It's very clear that this woman never imagined that a police officer would angrily grab her and violate her rights, which to many,  perhaps darker complected Americans is nothing new. The police officer in question never charged the motorist with "illegal" recording, which the courts have consistently ruled isn't  illegal where uniformed police officers are involved.

Institutional Brutality

A cop is offended that an inmate "turns on him" and a judge casually observes police violence. This is pretty representative of the law enforcement situation in so much of America. Thanks to Toxic Cops for finding this footage.

Cops and Robbers Redux

I guess this one can't exactly be pinned on the NYPD. Maybe the contagion is spreading. Nyrecistance is a Farrakahn inspired black nationalist who does his own undercover work filming NYPD during their "stop and frisks." While I don't agree with his assessment all the time, his channel is worth viewing. It's also worth imagining what it'd be like to be in his shoes!

Disturbing Use of Lethal Force, Likely Within Policy

Any regular viewer of YouTube doesn't need to be reminded that an awful lot cops would rather shoot you dead than risk any kind of injury to themselves. Watch this disturbing video if you need to be reminded of that.

Three hots. a cot, and a hair cut...

I don't have any context to this story, so I'll let you draw your own conclusions. With thanks to toxiccops.com on YouTube for the footage.

Fuck The Police

I try to be a bit detached or wry when writing, even though the videos and links I post are often horrible and angering. This fucking video makes my blood boil. I don't advocate violence, but I'd shed no tears if these cops got their teeth knocked out and kneecaps broken, reduced to begging for change coins dropped into their wooden bowls.

Chicago Police Department Takes A Trophy

In some ways, Chicago Police Department rivals New York's in its professionalism.

Without Compassion

Policecrime.com provides yet another instance of
cops who fail to protect and serve the mentally ill.

To Protect and Shove

NYPD showing the professionalism and public servant mindset for which it's known. Who would grow up around police officers who behave like this and want to be a police officer as a result?
With thanks to policecrime.com and Nothingtoxic for this damning footage.

Boss Hog and Brutality

Notice the relish with which the obese, perhaps barely mobile, cop waddles his way over to the pinned suspect and brutally kicks him a few times. It's probably all justifiable under police training, so he gets to put his licks in.

Service with a Smile

Facial expressions are NOT surefire ways to discern an individual's truest feelings, but I find it telling that all of the officers in this video seem to have smirk on their face after possibly brain-damaging the gentleman and scholar in this video. It may not just be "one bad apple," and thus the title of this blog. Thanks to policecrime.com for the video

Don't Call The Police

Stories about police officers killing the very people they were called to help are fairly common. We have only one account here, but the fact that the FBI is investigating is interesting. I'm not sure what I would do if I were responsible for caring for a mentally ill teenager, but calling the cops might not be worth considering given national trends. Thanks to Toxiccops.com for the link.
