The Church Is Still Hiding Abuse

Any other institution that had covered up abuse and protected as many abusers as The Church would be reviled and hated. As a no longer extant organization, discussion of its fate would be fogone and academic. The Holy See, Church of Rome's hiearchy manages to obscure everyone's assesment of its organization and legacy. I don't have a problem with the Mass, the theology of Catholicism, or Christianity, but an old medeval hiearchy of celibate men does not mix well with modern society.

Torturous and Dangerous

Police officers use Tasers to torture anyone they deem as disobedient. Police officers with control issues now have a device that makes non-compliance painful. The makers of the Taser tout it a a non-lethal alternative that saves lives, but more and more activists and physicians are taking issue with that assesment.

Cops Beat Suspect in Wheelchair, Again.

If I were asked about that "YouTube video where the cops beats the shit out of that guy in the wheelchair," I would have to respond to the question "Which one?"

Fruit from The Foul Tree.

The New York Police Department is more often embroiled in controversy than not. Take a beat to contemplate that

Pruning the branches of the tree won't work.

Cops Brutalize Teenagers

Cops need to study constitutional law and court rulings continually, so that when they inevitably ignore the rulings and violate rights, they can't feign ignorance. You may defeat the cops in court, but you'll rarely defeat them at the scene of their crime.  Suffice to say, if you're going to film them, don't involve yourself in the fray.

Cops Caught Planting Drugs and Letting Dog Attack Suspect

The point is made: this is obviously not the first and only time these cops have brutalized and planted drugs on their victims. You must assume that for every act you see on YouTube, another such violation occurs off camera.  You could watch American police brutality all day on YouTube.... so what does that tell you?

To Protect and Serve Man

This has to be one of the more obvious reasons for not granting unwavering trust to cops: some of them like to eat people. Truth is stranger than fiction. Perhaps police departments aren't doing an adequate job when it comes to screening would be public servants/ law enforcers.

Sheriff Arpaio

This issue was made known to me by a YouTube message with a link to  an anti- Sheriff Arpaio (Google him) television spot.  The question here is whether or not "America's toughest Sheriff" was criminally negligent  in investigating these vicious crimes.
